At its advent as an industry disruptor, WizarPOS has advocated the POS industry revolution of POS platform redefinition by launching future-proof POS systems. WizarPOS has shipped over 3 million units of Android POS terminals worldwide by 2020, which are deployed in 30 verticals on five continents. Its footprint expanded to countries comprising two-thirds of the global population. In addition to developed countries in Europe, the Americas, Japan, and South Korea, WizarPOS is lauded as the FinTech Center by United Nations Industry & Development Organization (UNIDO) Global Science & Technology Innovation Network for its achievements in financial inclusion in developing countries.
The POS industry dates back to the 1970s with archaic, siloed architecture. Mr. Jerry Crosetti, one of the pioneers in the industry and the first R&D and Manufacturing Director at Verifone, founded Blue Bamboo with Kaishen Zhu, now founder of WizarPOS, in 2002. Both were determined to transform the stereotypical point of sale terminals into open-platform devices with an open ecosystem, hence empowering multiple applications and value-added services on a single terminal.
Within two years, Blue Bamboo rose as a disruptor in the wireless POS terminal industry and became the only startup as a steering member of the GlobalPlatform Device Committee backed by VISA, MasterCard, and PCI. The Committee defined the GP device specifications.
One derivative, which is known as TEE in the mobile industry has been widely adopted and embedded in every smartphone. Under the stewardship of Jerry and Kaishen, the world’s first PCI PTS certified wireless POS was launched in 2005, followed by the world’s first mass-production GlobalPlatform based Java POS. Kaishen himself received the Star Awards of GlobalPlatform in 2005.
In 2012 Kaishen predicted the outbreak of smartphones that could shake up the POS industry, thanks to the scale effect of the supply chain in Asia and evolving maturity of the Android developer ecosystem. Partnered with other four industry experts, Kaishen founded WizarPOS to challenge the status quo of the conventional POS system.
-Build the new generation of payment ecosystem on an open platform to enable multiple applications by breaking through the incumbent POS technical framework and boundary
-Build the digital connection between consumers and merchants on a smart payment platform

Bank cards only payment method lacks convenience and personalized experiences.
Merchant hardware and POS software are running locally and disconnected most of the time rather than on the cloud, which creates obstacles to real-time and remote management of devices and data.
A non-smart POS scheme causes siloed information among transactions, inventory, and membership systems, therefore, resulting in hurdles of integration, sharing, synchronization, and management, all of which further lead to operational inefficiency and blind spots.
